For some, it might seem too soon to think about the holidays, but others have been planning and preparing for months. Although decorating and baking can be put off until the holidays are in full swing, one of the major holiday aspects to plan for is shipping. Once the holidays are underway, shipping is a total wild card. Will your clients get their packages on time? Will they arrive in one piece? Will everything be intact? Can you even ship it?
As you prepare for the holidays, sending out both regular orders and special holiday thank yous, the last thing you should be worried about is if you can ship something and getting it shipped out early enough. If you’re planning to offer a new product or have special gifts or orders you plan to send out and are wondering if they’ll make the shipment, check out the brief list below of things that traditionally can and cannot ship.
You Can Ship…
- Books, magazines, and catalogs
- Non-flammable personal grooming items
- DVDs and Blu-Ray discs
You Cannot Ship…
- Firearms, weapons, or their parts
- Live animals
- Lottery tickets or gambling items
- Money (cash, currency, coin, etc.)
- Prescription drugs of any kind (internationally)
- Alcohol (generally)
The restrictions that traditional mail carriers place on shipments may affect your operations this holiday season, but it doesn’t necessarily have to. We offer both ground and air expedited services including refrigerated carrier vehicles, dangerous goods transportation, hand carrying options, and more.
